Last day in New Zealand

Going, going, gone! In 2 sleeps we leave Palmerston - for a year. Our timing is perfect: we are leaving our beloved Foxton bach at the beginning of what's looking like a choice-as Nu Zild summer for the coldest European winter in about a gazillion years.

But we are nothing if not prepared! Hats and gloves are packed; cat is sorted; house is tidied. Time to go ... to Kyoto for 5 days of eating (mostly eating, although we will walk from time to time to justify the next bout of eating); then, flight to Paris in time to take the bi-level TGV down to Grenoble for Christmas eve. Then into the New Year, at which point it all becomes much less certain ...

So, over the next year we will use this blog to keep you up with whatever we're doing over that side of the world; as importantly, we hope you use it to let us know what you're doing!

Enjoy your Christmases, and we'll see you in a year.

Rosalie, Camille, Em and Richard.
